At the very back of the store you can find an old photograph showing that this building has always been used to sell alcoholic beverages. This photo is at least 100 years old and has been owned by Huub Oostendorp since 1982. The Wine Shop sells more than 800 varieties of wines. What makes this property even more fun is the wine cellar. At the (literal) lowest point of Schoonhoven there are lots of old bottles.
