A culinary journey through Peru<\/a>, that sounds like music to your ears, doesn't it? We love culinary experiences and therefore love to discover during our trips what makes the local cuisine of the respective destination so special. For us, such gastronomic activities therefore go hand in hand with cultural activities. Peru Well Served<\/a> is a local travel company based in Lima and they took us on a culinary journey through Peru. We came in contact with tour operator Peru Well Served during our search for unique places in Peru. Because apart from the highlights such as the oasis city Huacachina<\/a><\/strong> and the Colca Canyon, we also like to discover places away from the crowds. Peru is divided into three regions: the coast, the highlands and the rainforest. Each region thus has its own customs and ingredients, and thus its own gastronomy. If you are really interested in discovering the local cuisine in Peru, it is definitely recommended to visit culinary destinations with Peru Well Served.\u00a0Take Lima, for example, as this is the city where the entire Peruvian gastronomy comes together. Our experience with Peru Well Served<\/h2>

As we shared earlier, we experienced the most beautiful adventures in Sacred Valley. For example, accompanied by a local guide, we visited the magical city Machu Picchu<\/a><\/strong>. Our visit to the ancient Inca capital was completely organized in advance by Peru Well Served. This way we could enjoy our visit for the full 100%. Our guide also told the most interesting stories that we would not have wanted to miss.\u00a0<\/p>

Our fondest memory of the Sacred Valley was the day we saw the Perolniyoc waterfall and the Patacancha community<\/a><\/strong> visited. The Perolniyoc waterfall is virtually unknown among travelers and thus very local. The hiking trail to the waterfall takes you past local villages. It is a beautiful place where you can completely enjoy mother nature in peace.\u00a0<\/p>

In the mountains near Ollantaytambo live local communities after the lifestyle of the Incas. A visit to the Patacancha community gave us a unique glimpse into this ancient lifestyle. In addition to a festive welcome, here we were introduced to an ancient way of preparing potatoes, beans and bananas in the ground.
