With about 2,000 inhabitants, the small medieval town of Vianden is a popular place to visit in Luxembourg. The Castle of Vianden<\/a><\/strong> is literally the highlight of a visit to the city. Even from afar you can see the castle rising prominently above the city. Especially on sunny days, it is truly a picture to behold. The castle was built between the 11th and 14th century and is one of the most beautiful castles in Luxembourg. You can visit the castle where you will get an interesting and fascinating insight into the noble history of Vianden. The rooms you can visit, including the dining room, banquet hall and study, are richly filled with antique furniture and paintings, but you will also find old weapons, armor and much more.\u00a0<\/p>

It is nice to know that Vianden Castle came into the hands of the Nassau family in the 15th century. To be precise, the castle belonged to the family from 1417 to 1820.
