How do I get to Morro de S\u00e3o Paulo?<\/h2>

The most convenient way to reach Morro de S\u00e3o Paulo is from the city of Salvador, located about 64 kilometers from the island. You can take a speedboat or catamaran from Salvador\u2019s maritime terminal, right in front of Mercado Modelo. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, offering scenic views of the Bahia coastline along the way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Boat trips from Salvador to Morro de S\u00e3o Paulo run daily, with round trips operated by three main companies: Biotur, Ilha Bela, and Morro Lighthouse. We opted for a catamaran and booked our tickets through Bahia Terra Turismo<\/a><\/strong>. This platform compares the different options offered by the shipping companies. Prices for a one-way trip range from around 130 to 150 Brazilian Reais, which is approximately \u20ac20\u2013\u20ac25 per trip (as of 2025).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Keep in mind that there are no taxis waiting at the port of Morro de S\u00e3o Paulo. Traveling light with a backpack is therefore much more convenient, as you may have to walk a bit to reach your accommodation.
