The peninsula lies on the beautiful coast of the Andaman Sea, known for its stunning turquoise waters, colorful coral reefs, and rich marine life. Railay is part of mainland Thailand, but because it is surrounded by giant limestone cliffs, the peninsula is only accessible by boat. This gives you the ultimate island feeling when you are on Railay. There are four main beaches, Railay West, Railay East, Phra Nang Beach and Tonsai Beach. This is because everywhere you look you see beautiful limestone rocks that have formed insanely around the golden sandy beaches of the peninsula. Not to mention the turquoise color of the sea water. Railay is a picture, a feast for the eyes. Enjoy a beach day at Railay Beach West<\/h3><p>The most popular beach on Railay is Railay Beach West, also known as Railay Beach. This beach shows off on many postcards of Thailand and is obviously a picture to behold. The bay is surrounded by insane limestone cliffs. The beach itself is also a picture. Huge expanse with a long and wide white sandy beach, which is also surrounded by swaying palm trees. A tropical and paradisiacal place.\u00a0<\/p><p>But while the beach is beautiful, remember that this is also where many longtail boats dock and from where ferries leave for the surrounding islands. The beach is almost always crowded. Climb and scramble to the East Railay Viewpoint and the lagoon<\/h3><p>For us, no vacation is complete without a little physical challenge, so on Railay, the climb to East Railay Viewpoint was and challenge we took on. The climb is not recommended because it can be slippery and on-site assistance options are limited. So keep this in mind and don't do anything crazy.\u00a0<\/p><p>The climb to the viewpoint is best done in the morning to get ahead of the crowds and avoid the hottest time of day. You'll be sweating like an otter, but once at the viewpoint, you'll have a beautiful view of Thailand's Railay Peninsula.\u00a0<\/p><p>You can climb and scramble even further to the lagoon further down. A beautiful place to see. Have you seen both spots? Then it's time to head back. Once back on the main trail, you can hike on to Phra Nang Beach to take a refreshing dip in the crystal clear sea.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"has_eae_slider elementor-element elementor-element-794c04d e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-eae-slider=\"95295\" data-id=\"794c04d\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e9b7149 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e9b7149\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>3. Go snorkeling at the cliffs of Phra Nang Beach<\/h3><p>Railay Beach is a beautiful beach, but if I really had to give you a tip for Railay it would be Phra Nang Beach. The cliffs that run from the beach into the sea are climbed daily by adventurous climbers. You'll see them dangling upside down from the rocks, as will the monkeys who, by the way, roam the beach here a lot. Do not feed the monkeys here and store food well in your bag.<\/p><p>You can rent kayaks on this beach, which is a nice tip. In fact, a huge rocky outcrop rises out of the sea off the coast. You can kayak around this.<\/p><p>On the left side of the beach you will find two caves completely filled with wooden dicks. A very crazy thing to behold.\u00a0<\/p><p>The beach is narrow, but long and framed by a beautiful mangrove forest. Dine out at one of the restaurants on Railay Walking Street<\/h3><p>In the evenings, the peninsula comes alive when everyone looks for a restaurant on Railay Walking Street. You will find many diverse restaurants and there is actually something for everyone. It's crowded, but cozy. In fact, there are some travelers who come up and down by longtail boat for a day, but then you miss out on all the atmosphere of the island. Bummer!
