Instead, you\u2019ll find hidden beaches, cozy beach bars, and a laid-back atmosphere that invites you to let go and unwind. During my trip through Sri Lanka, Ahangama truly surprised me with its unique spots, charming hotspots, and that rare sense of freedom you can only experience in places like this. The avocado toast paired with a refreshing iced coffee, all while taking in the lush green surroundings. It\u2019s one of those places where you could easily spend hours if your schedule allows. And when you\u2019re soaking up Ahangama\u2019s relaxed vibes, you can even spend an afternoon by the pool here. The south coast is famous for its powerful, consistent waves, which are especially appealing to more experienced surfers. One of the best beaches for spotting surfers or just relaxing yourself is Kabalana Beach. This is also where you\u2019ll find the well-known surf spot Marshmallow in Ahangama.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">If you want to practice your surfing a bit more, nearby Weligama or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/travander.nl\/en\/tips-for-hiriketiya-sri-lanka\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hiriketiya<\/a><\/strong> offer calmer spots perfect for mastering the basics. Here, you\u2019ll enjoy a beautiful room with sea views.
