To travel through Vietnam, you must have a visa. You can already apply for an e-visa online prior to your departure to Vietnam. You can do this through the immigration service or through a local travel agency, such as Friends Travel Vietnam. With an e-visa un you can stay in Vietnam for up to 30 days and travel in and out of the country 1 time.
Vietnam is a long and vast country so you have to deal with different climates. Therefore, the best time to travel through Vietnam varies greatly by destination:
- North Vietnam - a mountainous landscape where the average temperature is lower than in the rest of Vietnam. The best travel period is from October through November.
- Central Vietnam - temperatures are fairly constant all year round, the only thing to consider is the rainy season. September and October are considered the wettest months.
- South Vietnam - also in the south, temperatures are fairly constant and very pleasant. From May to October the rainy season prevails here, so the best period is from December to March.
