Rotterdam is a shopping mecca! When it comes to shopping in Rotterdam, there are therefore several areas and shopping streets that we recommend.
The Lijnbaan
Lijnbaan is a car-free shopping street with lots of different stores. It is traditionally the most famous shopping street in Rotterdam. Here you will find a mix of well-known fashion stores such as Mango, Stradivarius, Guts & Gusto, Hollister and Pull & Bear and boutiques.
Beurstraverse (The Koopgoot)
Beurstraverse is popularly called De Koopgoot in Rotterdam. It is an underground shopping arcade with 80 stores. You can find various stores here, from big brands to small boutiques. For example, the H&M is located in De Koopgoot, but also the nice gift store KKEC. Through De Koopgoot you can also go to the department store De Bijenkorf.
The Meent
The Meent is a trendy shopping street with a diverse range of boutiques, concept stores, interior design stores and tasty hotspots. The Binnenweg
The Binnenweg is a lively street in Rotterdam. The street consists of three sections: the Binnenwegplein, the Oude Binnenweg and the Nieuwe Binnenweg. The three sections differ from each other, but all three are worth visiting.
The Oude Binnenweg is, as the name suggests, an old part of Rotterdam with a diverse range of stores, pubs and other catering establishments. It is adjacent to the Binnenwegplein where you can find well-known chains such as ZARA and the MediaMarkt Tech Village. The Nieuwe Binnenweg is the longest shopping street in the Netherlands. It is a multicultural street with a diverse range of stores and eateries.
The MAHO Quarter
The MAHO Kwartier includes the shopping streets Pannekoekstraat, Botersloot and Nieuwemarkt. You will find many original boutiques, vintage stores and concept stores here. You can also find many delicious hotspots here.

The Market Hall is open almost daily until 20:00, on Friday until 21:00 and Sunday until 18:00. Department store De Bijenkorf is open until 8:00 p.m. on weekdays (and until 9:00 p.m. on Fridays).

Rotterdam is also easily accessible by car. There are several parking options in and around the city center. Keep in mind that parking in the center can sometimes be expensive. In terms of parking, we recommend parking garage Schouwburgplein in the Weena tunnel. This garage is located in the center of Rotterdam, but is cheaper than other parking garages in the center. Don't mind taking public transport to the city center? Then park your car at the P+R Kralingse Zoom.
There are several popular shopping centers in Rotterdam. For an extensive shopping offer under one roof, visit the Alexandrium Shopping Center. This large shopping center offers a mix of national and international chain stores. Next to Alexandrium Shopping Center you will find Woonmall Alexandrium with many interior and furniture stores.
The Zuidplein shopping center, located in Rotterdam-Zuid, is also one of the most popular shopping centers in Rotterdam. Here you can find a wide range of stores, including clothing, shoes, accessories, electronics and much more.
