You can find many different kinds of delicatessens in Rotterdam, ranging from exclusively Italian to completely focused on appetizers. One thing is the same with all delicatessens, they offer the most delicious products and with that you have the basis for a successful evening of feasting. These are the best delicatessen stores in Rotterdam!
1. Warehouse Houtman & Menkveld
Fairly hidden away in the Scheepvaartkwartier you will find in one of the characteristic buildings Warehouse Houtman & Menkveld. A delicatessen store in Rotterdam selling artisan products. You can score products here for during drinks at home or with friends, but extra special is that you can eat here in the kitchen. Even before you take products home, chances are you have already tasted them yourself. It has to be tasty, of course. Want to stand out with your cheese board? Then Warehouse Houtman & Menkveld is the place to be, they offer an extensive selection of special cheeses. Truffle Brie is one of our favorites!

2. La Zia Maria
A visit to La Zia Maria is also described as an Italian party, a place where, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Rotterdam, you really feel like you're in Italy. With passion and love you can taste here, in the small cozy restaurant, the most delicious Italian dishes. Yum! There are only a few tables so a reservation can't hurt. Besides eating well, you can also buy typical Italian products. A hot spot after our hearts!

3. Little Italy
Another Italian topper in this list. Maybe it is up to us given that we love Italy as a vacation country, but we are convinced that everyone loves Italian cuisine. Little Italy is an Italian supermarket, caterer and pizza maker where many Rotterdam residents lovingly pick up sweet treats and a freshly baked pizza. We come here almost every week to stock up on fresh pasta and prosciutto!

4. Gastrovino
On the Nieuwe Binnenweg, where you could first find Vermeyden Delicatessen, is now Gastrovino came. As soon as you step inside, you are immediately surrounded by all kinds of wines and delicacies. This is the place to be for everything you need for a drink, but also for culinary gifts. Award-winning wines, cheeses, chocolates, charcuterie and nuts, there is no shortage at Gastrovino.

5. Westerkaatje
Westerkaatje is a caterer and trattoria specializing in Mediterranean appetizers, drinks and full-service meals. In the colorful store, also called Mercato, you can buy all kinds of supplies for creating a delicious meal. Come here for a tasty lunch? You can do that, too. Choose from Westerkaatje's always varying weekly offerings. Not a fan of cooking, but still enjoy eating? Then Westerkaatje also offers weekly meals and a weekend bag. All you have to do is indicate what you like!

6. Casa Reinders
At Casa Reinders you walk right in, but also has a web shop where you can order the most delicious products. This delicatessen is known for its balsamic and various olive oils, but is also the place to go for an extensive charcuterie board. After all, with an assortment of no less than 60 types of sausages and charcuterie, that's alright. You also buy fresh seasonal produce here which we are definitely fans of. Tip: every Saturday you can find a Casa Reinders stand at the Rotterdam Harvest Market.

7. SolFood
In the heart of Rotterdam you will find the fine caterer SolFood. A place where you can pick up particularly delicious snacks, but enjoying them on the spot is also definitely possible. Don't feel like picking up? SolFood also does delivery. SolFood is all about enjoying products with the quality of a restaurant at home. You might get a little stressed when looking at the menu, they have a lot of options. Get advice from one of the employees, they know what to do with your questions. Tzatziki, pastitsio, bougatsa... Some Greek products that make our mouths water immediately. Deli Greek is the place to go in Rotterdam if you crave Greek food. You can sit inside and enjoy Greek plates full of mezedes, but you can also take home all kinds of dishes, wraps, salads and sweets. You will also find a small shop inside where you can buy typical Greek products such as olive oil, spices and wines.

The tastiest delicatessen in Rotterdam's Hillegersberg district is without a doubt Outside Deli. It is the place to pick up a freshly made sandwich, but everyone also knows where to find them for freshly prepared meals from chef Marco Prins. At Buiten Deli, quality is an important starting point and a lot of attention is paid to preparing dishes full of minerals and vitamins. One thing is for sure, when you walk in here you have to restrain yourself from taking out all kinds of goodies. Gee, what an assortment!

10. Balkan Deli
Unique of its kind, this delicatessen is entirely focused on specialties from the Balkan states. Balkan Deli is more than a delicatessen, because in addition to scoring local products, you can also sit down for lunch or dinner here. Some perhaps famous specialties they serve here are cevapcici (beef sausages), goulash and sopska salad. Highly recommended if you are looking for something different!
