1. Vroesen Pavilion
A classic in Blijdorp: the Vroesen Pavilion. It's the place to catch up with friends or enjoy a good cup of coffee while the kids have fun in the park. Prefer to come alone? Then sit comfortably at the bar table overlooking the park or take a seat outside under the canopy! From breakfast to lunch, a coffee to-go to an extended drink with (vegan) bitterballen, on the terrace or in front of the fireplace. This is always the place to be.

2. Cheese Palace

I love coming here because they always give me the best tips for putting together the perfect drinks board. Whether it's their (foreign) cheeses, meats, homemade salads or sandwiches, they cater to the needs of every sustainable customer with their wide range of fresh, non-pre-packaged and honest products. An absolute must-visit in Blijdorp!

3. Wine at Henk's
A drink should be accompanied by a bottle of good wine! Officially, you can find Wine at Henk in the Bergpolder, but we still like to name the hotspot in this list because it is a huge asset to the neighborhood. Henk focuses on providing organic, biodynamic and natural wine and cider. When you walk into Henk's, you're always greeted warmly and he takes full time to choose wines that suit your needs. 4. Sajoer
Of course the hotspot Sajoer cannot and should not be missing from the list about hotspots in Blijdorp. This tropical and cozy juice bar has healthy and vegan cuisine with Indonesian influences. Sajoer is known for its smoothie bowls, good coffee and the homemade juice cures you can (dis)take there, but Sajoer also has a very tasty lunch offering with fresh bread from Jordy's Bakery.

5. Walter Jerome
Are you looking for a unique on-site wine experience? At Walsjérôt you can taste more than 70 wines! You get a pass upon entering where you can put money on, then tap your own sip, half glass or whole glass of wine. Keep the tasting notes next to it to taste extensively or enjoy on your own. We are so excited about this cool and unique concept in Rotterdam!

An absolute French hit in Blijdorp is Bistrot-bar Frère. They live up to their motto "simple and honest" through their small menu of fine dishes of French cuisine. 7. States Cafe
Oyster drinks, cocktail hours, darn good food plus a sunny terrace. At the Statencafé they know what enjoyment is. I love coming here for brunch on weekends, but be on time if you want a spot in the sun... the rest of Blijdorp comes here just as much!

For drinks, lunch or dinner, Brasserie Tines is the place to be. It is a popular hotspot in Blijdorp (actually Bergpolder), where you can sit in the sun on the terrace on summer days. From drinks bites to full meals, everything tastes good here!
