Laganas
Laganas is the most vibrant resort on Zakynthos and is therefore known for its lively nightlife, especially among Englishmen and other partygoers. During the high season, this is therefore where many young people stay. The resort of Laganas, located in the south of the island, has the longest sandy beach in Zakynthos (almost 9 kilometers) and is close to the airport.
Tsilivi
The seaside resort Tsilivi, also known as Planos, is a popular destination to stay among couples and families. Tsilivi has a beautiful sandy beach, crystal-clear seawater and a wide range of hotels and apartments. You will find nice restaurants, beautiful stores and atmospheric beach clubs. Definitely a nice place to stay during your vacation on Zakynthos.
Argassi
Argassi is a destination close to the capital city of Zakynthos. It is a lively resort with a long sandy beach, but you will also find smaller coves. The sea water at Argassi is clear and remains shallow for a long time. Because of its location near the capital, there is plenty to do in the area. Since it is one of the more famous resorts of Zakynthos you will find many accommodations. Also, this is also a nice place to go out at night!
Quiet locations to stay in Zakynthos
Would you rather not stay in one of Zakynthos' crowded resorts? Then there are plenty of quiet accommodations to be found inland and along the west coast. Here you will find beautiful cozy hotels and luxury vacation homes beautifully situated among olive groves, and often overlooking the sea.
