Planning a vacation to the Spanish island Ibiza and are you looking for the perfect place to stay? Ibiza offers a number of attractive seaside resorts, but you can also find plenty of (luxury) vacation homes and boutique hotels. Ibiza is known as the party island of Europe, but did you know that you can also discover beautiful sights on the island? Use our ultimate guide to Ibiza to determine where best to stay on the island!

Where to stay in Ibiza?

Scattered around the island you will find several cozy villages and seaside resorts where you can stay. An important consideration to make in deciding where to stay in Ibiza is whether you want to be near or spoiled from the festive activities? If you come to enjoy nature and paradisiacal beaches, then avoid Playa d'en Bossa and San Antonio. If so, rather choose a nice hotel in Ibiza Town or Santa Eulària.

Playa d'en Bossa

For those who love to party, this is without a doubt the place to stay. Along the kilometer long beach of Playa d'en Bossa you will find popular beach clubs, blissful restaurants and the most grand hotels and resorts. Already early in the afternoon the most exuberant parties start here, and you can therefore continue until late at night. Playa d'en Bossa is a place that is always alive, but where the price of an overnight stay is a lot higher compared to other locations in Ibiza. An advantage of staying at Playa d'en Bossa is the short transfer from the airport, as this is only about a 10 - 15 minute drive.

Ibiza Town

The cozy town of Eivissa (Ibiza Town) is so incredibly cozy that we can imagine people choosing to stay in the town. From your accommodation you can walk straight into the bustling center where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner, but also do some great shopping. And fair is fair, in terms of location from the airport is ideal and for a day trip to Formentera is a stay in Ibiza town also top. In fact, the ferry leaves from the port of Ibiza Town. The only disadvantage of staying in Ibiza Town is that if you rent a car parking is very expensive (should the hotel not have a parking space).

Santa Eularia

Staying in the region of Santa Eularia has our personal preference. It is a beautiful region with many idyllic villages, beautiful nature and, of course, wonderful beaches. So you can choose a nice hotel near the cozy center of Santa Eulalia or a nice stay in a natural environment. From the airport it is a half hour drive to the region of Santa Eularia. It is therefore recommended to rent your own car via SunnyCars so you can explore the island on your own.

San Antonio

San Antonio is the second largest town in Ibiza and is found on the west coast of the island. Just like Playa d'en Bossa, San Antonio is a place where you can go crazy. You will find many clubs, fun hotspots but also beautiful nature. This place is particularly popular among English tourists. Compared to partying at the immensely popular Playa d'en Bossa, going out in San Antonio is a lot cheaper, but you will experience a lot less authentic Ibiza. Personally, we would not choose to stay in San Antonio, but this does not take away from the fact that you will find beautiful hotels and resorts (such as the recently opened OKU Ibiza!).

Staying in less popular villages in Ibiza

Ibiza is bursting with cozy B&Bs, beautiful estates and gigantic villas. All are gems to stay in during a vacation to Ibiza. Many groups and families choose to rent a private villa. In doing so, you will more quickly end up in the lesser known, but certainly not less beautiful, villages on the island. To search for nice villas we always take a look at Belvilla and Eliza was here! But also TUI and Corendon have beautiful fully organized trips to Ibiza.
