Take a look around the Beguinage

A beautiful and photogenic spot in the historic center of Bruges is the Beguinage. The white-painted houses and the convent garden date back to 1245. Beguines, women who dedicated their lives to the church, used to live here. And still the houses in this court are inhabited by nuns of the Order of St. Benedict. Should you have an interest in what life was like in the 17th century, you can take a look at one of the Beguine houses. Open every day from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Brewery De Halve Maan

Every beer and, for that matter, non-beer lover should visit Beer Brewery De Halve Maan. Not for nothing does this brewery belong to our favorite hotspots in Bruges. You can visit the tasting room here for a nice cold Brugse Zot, Bruges' city beer. But if you're also interested in how the beer is made here, it's definitely fun to book a 45-minute tour. A big plus here is that you go to the roof of the brewery, from here you have a great view of the skyline of Bruges.
