The Erasmus Bridge has a 139-meter-high steel pylon mounted with 40 pendants. Because of the bridge's shape, it was nicknamed The Swan. This spectacular building stands in a prominent spot opposite Blaak Station and can be recognized by its typical Rotterdam architecture. Completed in the fall of 2014, the Market Hall was the first indoor fresh food market in the Netherlands. In the Markthal, pure and honest food is offered daily in different forms. Shopping here is truly an experience. The Market Hall is especially popular among tourists, but also Rotterdammers like to come here from time to time. 4. Old Port

Near The Market Hall and the Cube Houses is another great Instagram spot: the Oude Haven. The Oude Haven is one of the oldest harbors in Rotterdam. Oude Haven is surrounded by a distinctive Rotterdam mix of historic buildings on the one hand and modern architecture on the other. One of the highlights in Rotterdam's Old Harbour is the White House, Europe's first skyscraper. Built in 1898, the 43-meter White House was for a long time the tallest office building in Europe. Surely we can't imagine that now....

To find the best spot here, it is best to walk to the Spanjaards Bridge. Here you have a nice view of the entire panorama of the Old Harbour.

5. The Euromast

The Euromast, who doesn't know it? It was once the tallest building in Rotterdam (now called the Zalmhavenentoren) and is one of the most beautiful observation towers in the Netherlands. That it is a true landmark in the city, that's for sure. The Euromast was built in 1960 on the occasion of the Floriade and was already 100 meters high then. The tower stands in Het Park, also called the Euromast Park. In 1970, the tower of the Euromast was expanded with a Space Tower, to a height of 185 meters.
