In the heart of Utrecht, on the pleasant Mariaplaats, lies The Hunfeld: a boutique hotel where history meets modern comfort. Here you find yourself in the middle of the bustling city life, while at the same time you can completely unwind in one of the stylishly decorated rooms. We stayed two nights in The Hunfeld and can heartily recommend this fantastic hotel for a weekend in Utrecht!
A warm welcome at The Hunfeld in Utrecht
A warm welcome: that is exactly how we describe our arrival at The Hunfeld could describe. The staff is not only welcoming and friendly, but shows genuine interest in their guests. And that personal touch is carried through into every detail of your stay. For example, we found a handwritten card in our room upon arrival, a small gesture that immediately makes a big difference.
Upon entering through the stylish entrance on the Mariaplaats, you immediately step into the cozy lobby. Vintage details and subtle Utrecht accents make us curious about what else to discover. After a smooth check-in, we take the elevator to the third floor, where our suite awaits us.
Stay overnight in a suite with bay window
A suite overlooking the Dom Tower and the terraces of the Mariaplaats: that already sounds great, right? But what if we told you that you get that view from a beautiful bay window? This glass extension, a kind of mini-dome, is the eye-catcher of all suites at The Hunfeld. Here you'll find a comfortable daybed, perfect for relaxing with a book or a cup of coffee while the city lies at your feet. We spent hours here!
Want something really special? Then book the suite where the bay window has been transformed into a unique shower stall, which is quite an experience in itself!
In addition to the impressive bay window, the suite itself is also a gem. The room is spacious and equipped with a lovely extra-large double bed. The modern decor with warm colors and industrial details gives the room a contemporary feel. Furthermore, the suite has a separate toilet and shower, a flat-screen TV and everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Booking a package at The Hunfeld
During a stay at the The Hunfeld, breakfast can be booked separately. For this you get a full breakfast with fresh rolls, croissants, cheese, ham, mini muffin, boiled egg, a piece of fruit, yogurt and the necessary spreads. You can choose to have breakfast delivered to your room or munch on it in the lounge. We obviously chose to have breakfast delivered to the room.
