If there is one destination that should be on your list if you love a beach vacation, it is Lefkada in Greece. Lefkas is characterized by an overwhelming coastline with imposing cliffs, azure seawater and both fine beaches with sunbeds and umbrellas, and local, less discovered gems. Curious? 1. Porto Katsiki beach
If you type "Lefkas" into Google, you will immediately see pictures of Porto Katsiki. This is the most beautiful beach in Lefkada, and if I am honest, perhaps one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited. The contrast between the chalk cliffs and the clear blue sea is really amazing!
Porto Katsiki is located on the southwest coast of Lefkas. It is one of the well-organized beaches on Lefkas in Greece. There are sunbeds and umbrellas. Up by the parking lot you will also find beach bars. A flight of stairs down will take you to the beach. Porto Katsiki beach is mostly white sand with small white stones. Water shoes are recommended here (and actually on most beaches in Lefkas). There is a lot of wave action in the sea at Porto Katsiki beach, so keep this in mind if you are considering visiting Porto Katsiki with small children.

2. Agios Nikitas beach
Why Agios Nikitas is in the list of most beautiful beaches on Lefkas? Not so much because the beach is the most beautiful on the island, but all the more because the resort is unbelievably fun! The picturesque Agios Nikitas is a typical Greek village with cozy tavernas, mini markets, alleys paved with beautiful natural stones and colorful bougainvilleas. It is one of those villages where you want to pull out your camera everywhere to take pictures, that's how photogenic Agios Nikitas is. Only 30 people live in the fishing village and it is car-free. It is a nice village to stay during a vacation on Lefkas.
Agios Nikitas is located in a small bay and leads to the small but nice sandy pebble beach. Keep in mind that the beach is hugely popular with tourists, so during the high season this beach is often packed with people. Not staying in this resort? Then it is especially nice to combine Agios Nikitas beach during a day of beach hopping, visiting other beaches as well. Be sure to combine it with the next beach: Milos Beach!
Agios Nikitas is also a nice place to stay during your vacation to the Greek island of Lefkas. A hotel tip is Agios Nikitas Resort Villas, which you can find about 300 meters from the beach. A cozy hot spot I recommend is T'agnantio, a typical Greek tavern overlooking the sea.
3. Milos Beach
Milos beach is definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in Lefkas. This beach is close to the village of Agios Nikitas, so a visit to both is easy to combine. Getting to Milos beach requires some effort, but it is well worth it! Milos beach is enchantingly situated between rocky outcrops.
You reach Milos beach by a hike of about 20 minutes uphill and downhill. It is recommended not to do this at the hottest time of the day, but to get to this beach nice and early. The beach is quieter than the other beaches, mainly because of the climb you have to make.
Milos beach can also be reached by boat, but for the best viewpoints I would recommend the hike (if possible for you).

4. Kathisma Beach
Just beyond Agios Nikitas beach, you will find Kathisma beach. This is an elongated sandy-pebble beach with high waves. Kathisma beach is known for its beautiful crystal clear azure sea and steep cliffs. It is one of the most popular beaches in Lefkas. Parasols and sun beds are available for rent. On some parts of the beach there is beach service from the beach clubs, which is ideal for a relaxing beach day. Events are held in the summer and there is often live music. At the beach there is a large parking lot where you can park (it can busy though). From Agios Nikitas, buses also go to Kathisma beach.

5. Klimaki Beach
An absolute gem on Lefkas is Klimaki beach. This beach you can not just enter. In fact, this deserted bay can only be visited by boat. I visited this paradise beach during a boat trip with Odysseia. When we arrived at Klimaki beach, the barbecue was already lit. I imagined myself completely on a desert island!
6. Ponti (Vasiliki) beach
The last beach on the list of most beautiful beaches on Lefkas is the one near Vasiliki: Ponti Beach. This beach is different from the others because it is particularly a popular spot for water sports enthusiasts. Vasilili is located in a lush, green surroundings, in a large bay. There is actually always wind in this bay. Je can therefore do very well paragliding, windsurfing and it is a mecca for sailors.
Ponti Beach consists mainly of sand and partly of pebbles. It is an organized beach with beach chairs, umbrellas, beach clubs, tavernas and, of course, many water sports facilities. It is a very nice beach for families with children. The sea water here slopes gradually. In Vassiliki there is a cozy little harbor with all kinds of fish restaurants on the quay as well, tavernas and bars. Ideal for ending a nice day at the beach.
