What to do in Hoek van Holland?

1. Watersports
Surfing, kitesurfing or windsurfing? Hoek van Holland is a top destination for water sports enthusiasts. At De Surfschool or Kitesurfschool Hoek van Holland you can book lessons and get out on the water!
2. A walk on the beach (with or without a dog).
A walk on the beach always does a lot of good, no matter whether it is high summer or a crisp fall day. From October to April, dogs are allowed to run loose on almost the entire beach. During the summer months, they are welcome on the southern part of the beach.
3. Spot impressive ships at the North Pier
The Noorderpier offers a unique view of giant seagoing ships entering the port of Rotterdam. An impressive sight!
4. By boat to England
Ready for a mini-adventure? From Hook of Holland you can sail with the Stena Line to Harwich. Ideal as a starting point for a city trip to London or a road trip through England. The Stena Line sails twice a day between Hook of Holland and Harwich. The boat trip takes about 6.5 to 9.5 hours, depending on the weather.

By subway: Metro Line B takes you to the beach from Rotterdam in about 35 minutes.
By car: Parking is available, but it can be crowded in the summer. Come early or choose a P+R option.
By bicycle or scooter: The ideal way to avoid the crowds and get directly to the beach.
