From Argentinean steak to Peruvian ceviche and of course the most delicious Mexican hotspots: these are the best restaurants and bars in Rotterdam where you can enjoy Latin American cuisine.
1. Supermercado Rotterdam
By bullet point #1: Supermercado! This Rotterdam hotspot near the Witte de Withstraat is always cozy and you can eat incredibly delicious food at this Latin American topper. The colorful and modern restaurant features all sorts of influences from Latin American culture, but with a modern twist. We love coming to Supermercado all too much for the delicious variety of street food and the cozy swinging vibe, but it's also a very nice place to have a cocktail with friends.

2. Sabor Sabor
One of our favorite addresses in Rotterdam is Sabor Sabor. At this Mexican restaurant in Rotterdam you eat traditional Mexican food. The cozy hotspot is located in Rotterdam-West and as soon as you step inside you imagine yourself in Mexico. Brightly colored walls, cactuses and sombreros, Mexican music and friendly service: everything is right at Sabor Sabor. We thought we knew a little bit about Mexican cuisine, but at Sabor Sabor we are surprised every time by dishes with a true taste explosion.

3. Popocatepetl
Another very fine Mexican restaurant in Rotterdam is Popocatepetl. At Popocatepetl, you'll eat authentic Mexican food in a contemporary atmosphere. From Mexican beers and enchiladas to cocktails and appetizers: the menu is incredibly versatile. The restaurant is located in the Oude Haven, one of Rotterdam's lively nightlife areas and a place we frequent regularly.

One of the nicest cocktail bars in Rotterdam, that's Botanero! A Botanero is a Latin American mix of a bar, restaurant, cantina and tasting room all in one. This swinging mix has been brought to Rotterdam by Botanero. You'll eat tasty Latin American snacks, such as tacos and tostadas, and enjoy the best classic, signature and seasonal cocktails here.

5. Jesús Malverde
The high-profile Hotel Not Hotel is home to the hotspot Jesús Malverde. A cocktail bar that is anything but your average hotel bar. The bar is nicely quirky and a tad unusual, with a bright red interior and furniture. Although Jesús Malverde is mainly about cocktails, you can also order tasty snacks with them. You drink the most unusual cocktails here. How about a Margerita with jalapeño and avocado?

6. Restaurant Ají
At Restaurant Ají brings together the best of the East and the South. In fact, flavors from South America and Asia predominate here. The name Ají is pronounced Agie and means pepper in Spanish. This ingredient is central to Latin American cuisine. The nice thing about Ají is the Gastronomic Expedition where you will be taken through 4 courses along the South American and Asian landscapes with culinary surprises.

7. Alfredo's Taqueria
The Latin American hot spot Alfredo's Taqueria can be found in Het Industriegebouw in Rotterdam. This establishment is also dedicated to Mexican food. Alfredo's Taqueria brings even more life into the Mexican scene in Rotterdam. The brightly colored hotspot is particularly good for tacos. Especially in summer this is a nice spot, because there is also a tropical city garden inspired by the Mexican beaches of Tulum.

8. El Gaucho Restaurant
For the true meat lover, we like to tip Restaurant El Gaucho. At this Argentine restaurant you eat delicious steak. The tender steaks at El Gaucho are cooked over hot coals, which gives a nice grilled flavor to the meat. You can choose from a variety of steaks at El Gaucho, such as a rump steak, rib-eye, tenderloin or sirloin steak. There are also lots of different sauces to choose from!
