The most beautiful beaches on Mykonos you can of course describe as fine white sandy beaches with crystal clear sea where an atmospheric beach club is a nice addition. But unspoiled sandy beaches are also among the most beautiful beaches on the island. Because from north to south, and from east to west, you will find beautiful beaches everywhere on Mykonos. One bay is even more beautiful than the other. For example, on one beach you imagine yourself on an uninhabited island and on another you are surrounded by partying beachgoers.
1. Ornos Beach
If you ask us personally, we think Ornos Beach is the most beautiful beach on Mykonos. This incredibly beautiful bay is located in the southwest of the island and consists partly of beach clubs, but you will also find public areas. As there is often a breeze from the north on Mykonos, you will hardly be bothered by it on the beaches to the south. The seawater is quiet and clear and hits the yellowish sand beach with a small wave.
One of the fun beach clubs on Ornos Beach is Aperanto Galazio. Here you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas. Of course, you can also relax on the public beach and pick a table here for lunch. If you go here for lunch and want to stay in Greek spheres then we can definitely recommend the "prawns saganaki.

2. Agios Sostis Beach
Of course, despite the strong wind from the north, we could not resist exploring the beaches on this side of the island as well. Because the sandy beach of Agios Sostis is not directly adjacent to the open sea, you can lie here on the beach out of the wind. However, keep in mind that many beaches on the northern side of Mykonos have little to no facilities. On the beach of Agios Sostis itself you will find no facilities, but they are close by. Along the road, where you also park your car, you will find the popular hotspot Kiki's Tavern. This is a grill restaurant where you can eat delicious traditional Greek dishes. The only downside is that you can't make reservations and so come here at random. So you may have to wait here for a while, but it seems to be well worth it!
3. Psarou Beach
Another beautifully secluded and sheltered bay in the south of Mykonos is Psarou Beach. A somewhat more exclusive beach given its fine accommodations, such as Mykonos Blu and Kensho Psarou, which you will find all around the beach. Of course, there are also public areas on this beach and you do not need to rent a sunbed and umbrella to enjoy this beautiful sandy beach.
The best way to reach Psarou Beach is with your own transportation. When you are almost at the beach you will find a small parking lot in the curve. If you drive further down, you will arrive at the parking lot of a restaurant (paid parking).
4. Super Paradise Beach
Super Paradise Beach is a small sandy beach where you will find two cozy beach bars. You can park there on the grounds of the beach bar Super Paradise Beach where you pay based on tip. So you can decide for yourself how much you want to pay (but cash). On the beach you will find several sunbeds that go from the first row to the last row from €70,- to €40,- based on two sunbeds and an umbrella. Of course, there is also a public area where you can lie on the beach by yourself and still enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the beach bars.
5. Paradise Beach
One of the most famous beaches of Mykonos is Paradise Beach and this is mainly due to the exuberant and atmospheric beach parties that take place here until the late hours. During the day you can lie here and enjoy the Greek sun and the cooling sea water. The two famous beach bars are Tropicana and Guapaloca.
Paradise Beach is also where you want to be if you like diving. Mykonos Diving Center is well regarded and offers many options in terms of dive sites. We paid €150 per person for a refresher and a boat dive and had a great day.
Beach hopping on Mykonos
To explore the various beaches on Mykonos, it is advisable to rent a car, ATV or scooter. You can do this through, for example Sunnycars or locally on the island. There are so many beaches on the island that it will be difficult to discover them all. Equal a good reason to come back someday. So beach hopping is a good idea if you still want to discover some beaches. For example, we often did one beach in the morning and in the afternoon you would find us at another nearby beach.
