The fact that I know how to find the best vegan restaurants in Rotterdam is no big deal to my friends. secret. In fact, I have lived in this wonderful city for many years, a city that is constantly changing and growing. Sustainability has also been high on my priority list for a long time and for me personally that means, among other things, eating vegetarian and sometimes even vegan. And with that in mind, I've gathered the best vegan hotspots for you, these are my 5 favorite restaurants in Rotterdam!
1. Spirit Rotterdam
In the heart of Rotterdam's Green Passage is the vegan restaurant Spirit Rotterdam, a place that breathes sustainability. Here you can choose what you want to eat, place the food on your plate and then pay for it (by the gram). I personally love the freedom to compose your own meal. My favorite dish at Spirit Rotterdam is the colorful buddha bowl, a ball full of fresh and organic ingredients.

2. Pinky
Another hot spot that makes my heart beat faster is Pinky, an all-you-can-eat vegan restaurant. Here everything is about unlimited enjoyment, and with the extensive menu, this is certainly a good thing. The cozy interior and friendly staff complete the experience here. My go-to dish at Rozey is without a doubt the vegan sushi, a true work of art served!

3. Backyard Rotterdam
For a flexible green experience Backyard Rotterdam the place to be. With a very tasty and diverse plant-based menu here, you can even upgrade to vegetarian or meat/fish, if you want, of course. My personal favorite is the Backyard Healthy Kapsalon, a plant-based alternative to the Rotterdam classic.

4. Sugo Pizza
As a pizza lover, I am happily surprised every time with the pizzas from Sugo. In fact, here you can enjoy delicious plant-based pizzas and even do a little pizza tasting. The vegan truffle pizza with plant-based parmesan cheese is finger-licking good!
Sugo has several locations in Rotterdam, including on Kleiweg, Westblaak and Aert van Nesstraat.
5. Vegan Junk Food Bar
For my ultimate comfort food cravings, the Vegan Junk Food Bar my to-go hot spot. Here you'll find everything from loaded fries to juicy vegan burgers. My favorite? Those are the loaded nacho fries, a perfect combination of crispy fries and flavorful toppings. If there is one thing that the Vegan Junk Food Bar, among others, has confirmed for me is that it has only reinforced my love for sustainable and plant-based food.
