Stadshart Amstelveen is an indoor shopping center with a diverse range of stores. It is a true shopping walhalla for fashion lovers, as you will find stores of all kinds of stylish fashion brands and various boutiques. Some must-visit stores are:

1. Saigon Càphê
Vietnamese cuisine is one of our favorite cuisines, so the first tip we give you is Saigon Càphê. The menu features delicacies like pho, spring rolls, spring rolls and banh mi. This hotspot is also known for its delicious homemade iced teas, so you should definitely try those too!
2. DAY Foodbar Amstelveen
Fancy a drink? Then DAY Foodbar is the place to be in Amstelveen. Here you can order an extensive cocktail plate, with a choice between meat and veg. The motto of this hotspot is 'Have a Great Day' and that means you can come here all day long. From a cup of coffee in the morning to a crispy pizza at lunch and a tasty cocktail to end the day.
3. Bar Dixie
With more than 15 different cocktails on the menu, Bar Dixie in Amstelveen is a great place for a fun night out. Not fond of cocktails? Then we are sure you can find something else delicious on the drink menu. In fact, there are as many as 60 different types of wines and 40 beers on it. Oh, and of course plenty of non-alcoholic drinks too!
What to do in Stadshart Amstelveen besides shopping?
Besides shopping and fine dining, Stadshart Amstelveen also offers plenty of great options for a cultural outing. How about the famous Cobra Museum? Or an evening at the Schouwburg for a theater performance or a visit to the poppodium for a live music performance.
1. The Cobra Museum of Modern Art
The Cobra Museum is highly recommended for admirers of modern art. This is because you will find a large collection of art by young, Dutch, but also international artists. Unique works of art by the best-known Dutch Cobra artists Karel Appel, Constant and Corneille are on permanent display. In addition, the museum organizes regular exhibitions of contemporary art, with an emphasis on artists and art groups who pursue innovation.
We were there during the exhibition 'The Other Story', which features art from Moroccan modernism. Themes such as decolonization, spirituality, gender and migration are addressed in it, and the artists do not hesitate to denounce taboos.
Staying overnight in Amstelveen
Would you like to stay overnight in the city after a day of shopping in Amstelveen? Then Amstelveen offers numerous possibilities. For example, there are many beautiful hotels and cozy B&Bs in the center. But the Amsterdamse Bos is also just an 8-minute drive from Stadshart Amstelveen. In the forest you will find Europarcs Het Amsterdamse Bos. So you can sleep in the middle of nature, yet close to the city!
